angol A nice surprise. I don't particularly like dramas from hospitals, but this one is so well written and so well acted that I just couldn't break away. The character of the eccentric sculptor who is paralyzed and loses everything he loved in life is fantastic, full of life and contradictions. I appreciate that the film does not encourage a clear answer and the dilemma of whether "one has the right to decide whether one's life is worth living" ultimately feels beautifully open. It stops somewhere between depression and relief. Badham's film simply opens up an issue, draws you into it, and concludes with an eloquent three dots. I like this drama. ()
