Thule in Greenland is the northernmost inhabited place on Earth. Tuvalu is a Polynesian island state. These two places are located more than 11,000 kilometres from each other, yet today they are inescapably linked. The melting ice in Greenland is raising the level of the oceans, which will soon inundate low-lying Pacific islands. While experts argue over how to prevent climate change, the inhabitants of Thule and Tuvalu are already facing its irreversible consequences in their everyday lives. The film follows several local families who realize that their traditional way of life and livelihood is in grave danger. (One World)
