This film shows the everyday lives of a group of people: their joys and sorrows, their games, their loves. But love is a temporary substitute that Keve desperately seeks when he is unable to come up with inspiration for his film-making. He finds temporary love with Evabritt. Together, they forget their own marriages for a time. But their affair gives them nothing of lasting value, and they part. Keve's wife, Ann-Marie, is slipping away from him more and more.
