Jonathan Cold (Steven Seagal) egykori titkosügynök apja temetésére készül, amikor munkaadója egy kisebb szívességre kéri: ha már úgyis útba esik, kézbesítsen egy titkos csomagot Németországba. Cold sejti, hogy ez több lesz, mint egy séta a parkban, de belemegy a dologba. Útja során egyre veszélyesebb dolgok történnek. A politikai korrupció és a gyilkosságok mögött befolyásos emberek állnak, akik csakhamar rájönnek, hogy egy igazi profival állnak szemben. Cold olyan macska-egér játszmába kényszerül, ahol nem bízhat senkiben. (RTL Klub)

"Who were they?" - "I don't know, but they spoke Danish." Well, Steven Seagal, was it the Danes by any chance? This is what I asked myself at first, but as time went on it became more and more clear to me that it didn't have to be the Danes at all, because apparently anything is possible in this film. And it was. One star is for the obvious (but more or less futile) attempt to make something at least a little bit watchable.

“The Foreigner the type of movie that has you sitting on the edge of your seat, heart pounding." Or at least that’s what the distributor is trying to say and, for a change, they aren’t so far from the truth. The only difference being that this has you rolling in the aisles. It’s unbelievable how stupid this movie is, even if you are familiar with Seagal’s other movies. The world simply isn’t ready for this action-contact actor who is way ahead of his time. Especially when he attempts “emotional" acting.
