María y el Araña

María and the Spider is the story of María, a thirteen year old girl who lives in a Buenos Aires shantytown whit her grandmother and her obscure partner. Candidate for a scholarship to continue her education, María is finishing primary school, while working on the subway. There she´ll meet a 17-year-old-boy who earns a living juggling in a Spiderman costume. As their love grows, the web of a sinister bond keeping María attached to her house will be discovered. Suddenly, the young girl discovers she’s pregnant. In a country with barely any social help networks, where voluntary interruption of pregnancy, even in abuse cases, is still forbidden, Maria’s dreams disappear, and Spiderman is just a kid without powers.
