Filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj is famous for his epic Shakespeare adaptations, translating the violence and politics of the Bard’s plays to modern India. His third (after variations on Macbeth and Othello) is this intense version of Hamlet set in the turbulent state of Kashmir.
