Dranem - Le vrai Jiu-Jitsu

Dranem perfectly copies one of his most famous numbers just as he performed it at his “café-concerts”. In the background is an authentic painting by well-known poster artist Barreyro, created specifically for Dranem’s sketch. The singer’s style was characterized by fantasy elements and out-of-place humour.
The Gaumont company recorded dozens of Phonoscènes of popular actors, dancers, clowns, and singers at the Buttes-Chaumont studios. Alice Guy was the first to be assigned this “documentary” activity. (Ji.hlava International Documentary Film Festival)
