Subtle observations of the margins of the world marked by minimalist movement alternate with iconic images such as an anatomical ice sculpture of a heart. The filmmaker, who spent years perfecting her tactile approach to working with the medium, combines found material with hand-worked original footage, using images of sailboats and figures in the sea to explore the themes of isolation and the distance of people and things.
As the heart slowly melts over a twilit street, it seems to be pulsing and come to life. (Ji.hlava International Documentary Film Festival)
