Laulu tunturille

This is one of the most delightful short films dealing with Lapland. The musical smash hit was made by aimo Jäderholm (1916-2012), who himself often visited the area. The film is an excellent lyrical description, Jäderholm's personal eulogy for Lapland. Reino Helismaa (1913-1965) and Tapio Rautavaara (1915-1979) let Jäderholm and his camera come along with them on their private trip to Lapland in the middle of March, 1949. (Tampere Film Festival)
