Some call him a hero. Some call him a villain. He's "John Doe: Vigilante" – an ordinary man who decides to take the law into his own hands. Frustrated with a failing legal system that continues to allow violent criminals to go free, John Doe begins exacting justice the only way he knows how – by killing one criminal at a time. Soon he becomes a media sensation and inspires a group of copycat vigilantes, but who is the real John Doe – a pillar of justice or a cold-blooded murderer? You decide. (Monster Pictures)

angol There’s just something about this really rough premise. I’m surprised that it took this long for someone to come up with such an anti-superhero who, at the same time, is an ordinary person and who is sick and tired of the court decisions and rules of his country and so he decides to take things into his own hands. In a peculiar way, the movie tells the story of John Doe who became famous for murdering people who had – in his opinion – deserved it. Anyway, when they catch him and he tells this story through a news report, he’s no longer the only one and there are many more people like him all around the world who decided to take justice into their own hands. You just can’t keep waiting for justice forever. I watched this for the Challenge Tour 2015. ()

angol The premise is excellent. It's exactly what I like. Among people, someone appears who wants to punish evil. It's nothing original, but this theme is definitely not dead and there is still something to write and film about. There is action here at the expense of ideas, which bothered me a little bit here and there, but not to the extent that it would completely condemn the film. ()
