A '80-as években három stockholmi tinédzser, Bobo, Klara és Hedvig elhatározza, hogy punk zenekart alapít, dacára annak, hogy nincsenek hangszereik és mindenki azt mondogatja nekik, a punk halott. Előbb a rövid hajú és fiús kinézetű Bobo és Klara elindítják a bandát, majd ráveszik a keresztény Hedviget, hogy csatlakozzon hozzájuk. Punk is not dead, not even among such young heroes presented here. It's to some extent a portrayal of a certain time, of a generation, but on the other hand, I can't help it, those young heroes just didn't grab me, not even in contrast to the music they listen to. Somehow I couldn't get excited about the film.

I simply believed in those young punk girls, and that's quite important for such movies. A certain rebellion is part of puberty, but those three girls (almost looking like boys) really went all out, pushing the boundaries of what their surroundings could handle, and I was rooting for them. Punk’s not dead!
