Miután kiderül, hogy motorjában elöregedett az egyik alkatrész, veszélybe kerül a versenyzői karrierje. Egy kisebb baleset után pedig ráébred, hogy új tapasztalatokat kell szereznie, ezért légimentőnek áll. Rozsdást a veterán mentőhelikopter, Penge erdőőr veszi a szárnyai alá, hogy légitűzoltót faragjon belőle. Ebben segítségére vannak a csapattársak: Rigó, a romantikus lelkű oltógép, a komor és bölcs Szélvihar, valamint a mindig serény, bulldózerekből és markológépekből álló Lánglovagok oltóbrigád. Rozsdásnak azonban hamar rá kell jönnie, hogy a versenyzés csillogó világa után a tűzoltók életében jóval kevesebb szerep jut a rivaldafénynek és sokkal több a kemény, sokszor önfeláldozó munkának. Frissen szerzett tudására pedig nagy szüksége lesz, amikor a Dugattyúcsúcs Nemzeti Park lángba borul, ráadásul pont akkor, amikor egy fontos vendégekkel zsúfolt estély veszi kezdetét a közeli szállodában. A propelleres profinak minden ügyességére szüksége lesz, hogy a mentőalakulat tagjaival együtt megfékezzék a tomboló erdőtüzet és Dusty megtanulja, milyen nehéz feladat igazi hősnek lenni. Anyone who liked the first Planes will have no problem with the second (and anyone who didn't like it probably won't watch the second film, right?). I was a bit worried at first, but after about fifteen boring minutes the plot moved to the firefighter's base and the real spectacle began. Technically everything is perfect. The scenes have swing and momentum, they are often dramatic to the point of suspense, and the digital flames, smoke and water look real. The various jokes were also good, and I really liked the details like the little balsa airplanes nesting in the forest or the deer that look like forestry tractors. Don't be so strict.

Unnecessary continuation of an unnecessary movie. The first film didn't interest me, and the second one didn't either. It's simply a recycling of old themes, where the main character has problems with their engine, but nothing is as bad as it seems. Even though they can't race, they find a way to contribute and help. No, I really didn't like this at all.
