Slink

Slink is a wonderfully representative, i.e., bad, example of modern horror filmmaking. Current, fairly accessible technologies allow basically anyone, with willing friends, in this case mostly female friends, to step behind the camera and shoot their "film." Yes, there are elements of horror here, but that doesn't mean Slink is anything more than just a home video that could be played at parties. The creators lacked a sense of storytelling, music, and ultimately scene composition and cinematography. (2014.03.19)
