The most entertaining Asylum ever. And better and better with every co-viewer, every beer and as every minute goes by. The last third was absolutely unbeatable and, for its ingenuous idiocy, a work of genius; in the history of cinema it would be hard to find anything at least remotely similar to the heroic salvation of Nova in the history of cinema (who would have guess that someone like Ziering would send Chuck Norris into retirement?).

The level of imbecility of American screenwriters is increasing year by year, and Sharknado is already a concept that probably cannot be surpassed in that circle of films. It was silly to expect some humour and bearable effects, because this is a piece of shit (I can no longer avoid that word) that even with all my empathy and benevolence I just couldn't finish watching it. But don’t miss the final ten minutes, they are phenomenal ;-) 5%

Once in a blue moon, I just want to watch some obvious stupid bollocks, and no company produces similar "gems" on such a large scale as Asylum. So I randomly picked up Sharknado, which features some familiar faces in the cast, and went for it. The good thing about films like this is that they surprise rather than disappoint, because you're counting on the fact that it's just not going to be some Oscar-winning big budget movie with a solid script and great actors. And that's exactly what Sharknado is, a stupid and ineptly made piece of crap with lousy effects, a terrible script and awful actors. But I don't want to give it a Boo! rating, because I laughed a few times, although it was more of an ironic laugh than a sincere one. I can understand any rating for Sharknado, it is a film for a wide spectrum of viewers who watch it for a variety of reasons, from boredom to satire to admiration.

I only watched the "film" because a YouTube video compilation of its stupidest scenes got to my attention. Which means I kind of knew what I was getting into. I mean, I thought I did. I didn't. There could be no doubt that the plot was going to be terrible, but it was such an artless piece of crap that I almost decided against giving the film one star for unintentional humor. But then it came to Little Red Riding Hood, and I also remembered a line from the first third of the film: "the aerodynamics in this car cannot match the waves", so I ended up giving it one star. It hit the spot like a shark falling on a heliport. Only three more installments to go...
