A family from the old Italian bourgeoisie (a reflection of Bruni Tedeschi's own family), now resident in Paris, is in crisis: due to lack of funds, they are forced to consider what to do with the castle they have in their native land. Three forces collide: on the one hand Louise, an actress who has been away from the spotlights for some time, more focused on her incipient love for an actor much younger than she is and on her longing to be a mother. On the other hand, her brother, with whom she has a relationship that is almost incestuous, who is strongly attached to the memories that the castle holds and has just discovered he has AIDS. Between them, their scatter-brained mother, a former concert pianist who wants to cede the castle to the local council. (Seville European Film Festival)
