A suggestive, sensitively non-sentimental, poetic and realistic film depicting the fragility and dangerousness of the life of a young girl growing up in Brooklyn in few summer days. Her effort to have the same sexual experiences as her older friends is a dangerous motivation. The director works with amateur actors and stresses the atmosphere rather than a direct storyline and emphasizes small and demeaning details, inner desires, despair and self-deceit. (Fresh Film Fest)

This film has its incredible power in how it is presented, in how it is uncompromising in its style, and how it literally pushes the viewer, transferring to them that subtly depressive mood which gradually deepens. As if you didn't even want to live in this world because there is something wrong here and everything beautiful quickly turns into something ugly, unpleasant, into something from which you have to forcefully extract the pleasant. And sometimes there is not enough strength left.
