Stevens és Bessy a 300 ezer dollár értékű aranyat elraboló Kegyetlen Bill-t és bandáját üldözi. A mulatságos és izgalmas kalandok során hatalmas pofonok csattannak, amit csak a kacagtató poénok száma múlhat felül. A végén persze a gonoszok elnyerik méltó büntetésüket és az arany is megkerül, mi pedig gazdagabbak leszünk egy kellemes estével. (TV2)

It's a bit of an unconventional film for Spencer and Hill, but that doesn't detract from its quality. The story full of twists and turns is very interesting, the serious treatment also has the necessary grace thanks to those two great actors, and the true western climax is flawless. Spencer plays second fiddle here, but it's all made up for by the excellent villain Frank Wolff and the countless dry jokes that somewhat foreshadow future H&S comedies. In my opinion, a classic that western fans would kill for these days.

This is definitely not a funny movie in the sense of a comedy. This is a film that refers to Leone's dollar trilogy, where Terence Hill is basically just another nameless hero who has to endure a lot to reach his goal. The ending could have been a bit harsher, but nevertheless, this is a successful western with Bud and Terence at the beginning of their collaboration.
