In 2013, we have experienced a unique moment in our modern history: for the first time ever, Czechs were choosing their president themselves through direct elections. People expected to find the father of the nation – a wise man (or perhaps a woman), the purest of all, who could offer them an absolution. Are the citizens more able to choose such a president themselves than the politicians would? (forgalmazó hivatalos szövege)

angol The film isn't bad; it offers a behind-the-scenes look at the first direct presidential election in the Czech Republic. But I must admit, seeing what the candidates are like, what kind of game it is, and how they "diplomatically" bicker among themselves, makes me feel uneasy. Politics is simply the transposition of childish battles into the adult world, with the difference that in this Czech case, nobody dies, but it's pathetic, sad, and embarrassing. ()
