Két hivatalnokot, Chadot és Howardot nagy csalódás érte: a munkában a fiatalok lekörözik őket, ráadásul kidobták őket a barátnőik. A két frusztrált, harmincas hivatalnok vidéki kiküldetésre készül és mivel mindketten maguk alatt vannak, furcsa bosszút eszelnek ki: egy nőt elhalmoznak figyelmük minden jelével, és amikor már a lábuk előtt hever, kiadják az útját. A chilling and funny story of two friends who bet on who will be the first to hook up with their deaf colleague from work. But one of them falls in love with her, leading to unexpected complications. A pleasant surprise, even though LaBute is not a very inventive filmmaker, his direction is static and lacking ideas, but the weaker he is as a director, the better he is as a writer. What makes this film stand out are the well-written dialogues and the performances, especially Aaron Eckhart, he’s superb. All in all, the debut of LaBute, originally a theatre director, was quite successful.
