1967. The world is alive and ripe with possibility--new music, style, hope. But in Jordan, thousands of refugees from Palestine are held waiting for their right to return to their homeland. Amidst this, a young boy yearns to be reunited with his father. Restlessly cooped up in the refugee camp, he secretly sets out on his own, and along the way, attaches himself to a group of young freedom fighters who take him under their wing. Together, they embark on a journey of adventure, driven by an unshakable resolve to be free. (New Wave Films)

angol I was looking forward to watching my first Palestinian film. However, I had a feeling that the whole story was toned down so it wouldn’t offend or shock anyone. The theme is more than serious so I was curious how the creators will deal with it. As a result, I got a quiet film, which would not be that bad, with a number of really beautiful shots, which often pleased me, but at the same time it kept the questions unanswered, so in the end I was in the same place as in the beginning. Still, it was a satisfactory and at times hardly understandable peek into this environment. ()
