I especially like how the entire series manages to transition between different eras. This film follows Ip Man in his later years, when he is already a famous teacher, even more famous than Bruce Lee. However, we don't meet the character of Bruce in this film at all, not this time. Nevertheless, it succeeds in creating another dramatic story, once again connected to politics, which interfered in Ip Man's life too much. Nevertheless, he was still able to do what he wanted and loved. The film is essentially a meditation, it is calmer than the other movies, which is also due to Ip Man's age. It is definitely not an action spectacle that you might expect after the previous films. But when the old man gets involved in it, it's worth it. It might just need some different themes instead of constantly repeating the same ones.
