Bei jing yu shang xi ya tu

On the surface, it's a classic romance about how she's initially unapproachable, a bit of a bitch, but eventually finds out what's really important in life. This is also set against the fact that she's pregnant, in love with someone else, and going to America to give birth. The lead actors are pleasant enough to keep you entertained. (2016.05.12)

I have different ideas about what makes for a sympathetic or likable heroine, but once she got around some more normal people, she was fine. Wei Tang is also beautiful and knows how to act, so she's naturally nice to look at. For me her soulmate falls into the category of not very distinctive actors who are still pretty likable. The script is not surprising, but not bad. The film has a nice soundtrack and a relaxed atmosphere, so fine by me. 3 stars. (2021.02.08)
