A bűnügyi vígjáték második részében az újonc Francois (Thierry Lhermitte) morális válságba kerül, mert rendőrfelügyelő szeretne lenni, ám a dörzsölt és tapasztalt öreg róka, René (Philippe Noiret) mellett belekóstolt a korrupt élet gyönyöreibe. This movie is a beautiful, natural piece that’s a joy to watch. Phillipe Noiret and Thierry Lhermitte had such an amazing chemistry that I re-watched the first movie several times in a row. I didn’t get to see the sequel for quite some time and so when it was on TV, I took the time to finally end this mission. The end result was really nice, but sequels are rarely better than the first movie and that’s the case with this movie as well. It’s a shame that the sequel ignores the first movie. They’re still the same gang as in the first movie, but the story gets a bit weaker. For example, the ending pales in comparison to the first movie which is absolutely beautiful and typically French. The first movie is simply insuperable in this regard.
