Two suburban teenagers, Victor and Rainer, decide to take a train to Paris to enjoy a night in a club. However, they only meet with the rejection by girls and a street fight. Disappointed, they leave the city and wander into a forest where the moonlight and the night's atmosphere stir their desire. The film expresses the generational view on the suburban teenagers of today, wandering aimlessly through life. The atmosphere of feelings and impressions is enhanced by an inseparable musical element. The mid-length debut of the talented French director was awarded in Berlin, and received the Jean Vigo Award. Unfortunately, this is a film that told me absolutely nothing. I was looking at the characters, but I wasn't enjoying them. I listened to them and I wasn't entertained. And in the end, I didn't even enjoy the way it was filmed, how it was trying to be a testimony about a certain generation, an example of what it is to live. Somehow I couldn't connect with this film.
