In a poor Polish neighborhood in the 1960s a mother is separated from her Polish husband and spends most of her time working to provide for her two sons who are 10 and 14 years old. Left to their own devices, the boys join a neighborhood gang with a strong Neo Nazi orientation. When the gang enters a Jewish neighborhood and attacks some youngsters, they are arrested. The mother convinces the police to release her sons, but is shocked to learn they've joined Neo Nazis. She decides that she must now tell them a secret she's long been hiding: she is a Jew. A Holocaust survivor, she tried to raise her sons as Catholics, but now realizes this isn't possible and decides to leave Poland. She tells the older boy her plans, but the younger son is told that they are immigrating to Australia. The truth is that they are boarding a ship to Israel. (Zlín Film Festival)
