angol I haven't seen the anime, I haven't read the manga, but I have to admit Oguri's acting is excellent (he's even improved his English since Tokyo Dogs). Watching it, no one seems to be able to shake the impression that it's crawling along at a terribly slow pace, but it seemed to me that it kind of fit – after all, you don't fly into space the day after you decide to do so. Still, I thought the film had a few tone deaf spots. The funny thing is, Masaki said in an interview that he felt like Oguri's real younger brother, so I was looking forward to their scenes together. And yet there really weren't many of them. A nice film, with the UFO sighting and the strong bond between the brothers playing a major role (when Shun was running away at the end and then reached out... it looked painful indeed). Such a fine film that can also warm you up at certain points, and if you're wondering how the astronaut trials go... I think you'll learn a little something here. ()
