The minimalist gem, in which most of the shots are controlled by chance... the subtlety of emotions and the economical chemistry of the characters reminds of Coppola’s Somewhere; otherwise, it amounts to wonderful intuitive work with a minimum of space, a minimum of dialogue and a minimum manipulation. The final vibration is so pure and positive that I consider this debut to be an almost perfect example of filmmaking with unnameable and artificially inimitable magic.
