"Nightmare" is another beautiful example for me of how old horror movies can be captivating, how they have something that new horror movies don't always have. Yes, of course, this is a horror movie that is primarily focused on atmosphere and plot, but even those that are made nowadays don't always achieve a similar effect. The ending may not appeal to everyone, but it is precisely the madness that turns against the characters that adds that right final touch.
