I really like the band Nightwish and their music. I like the combination of metal and the fairy-tale like atmosphere of the lyrics and melodies. A couple of days before I saw this film, I listened to the album ‘Imaginaerum’ and I said to myself that such beautiful music cannot be made into a bad movie. And I was right, even though the movie wasn’t what I’d thought it would be. The story is really abstract, which could also have occurred to me. But there isn’t as much music in this as I would’ve liked. The band doesn’t get that many live bits, which really is a terrible pity. I guess the whole thing is exactly as Tuomas Holopainen intended. That is as if I’d listened to somebody’s dream.
