A visszavonult betörőnek két felnőtt gyereke van, akik aggódnak az apjukért, hogy nem képes tovább egyedül élni, ellátni magát. Azon gondolkodnak, hogy egy gondozóotthonban helyezik el. A fia, Hunter végül másik megoldást választ, az apja ellenkezése dacára vásárol neki egy robotot. A sétáló, beszélő, emberszabású robot arra van programozva, hogy gondoskodjon róla, javítsa a szellemi és fizikai állapotát. After a long time, I got to see a movie where I heard the Czech word “robot” pretty often. Plus, the story is nice and fresh. Frank isn’t really a character you’d like, but it’s not a character that’s necessarily bad. Towards the end, I got much closer to him and I even experienced some emotion. Maybe even more emotion than the robot who became Frank’s buddy for an hour and a half. A small, but a very pleasant movie.

We have an old man and modern age here. The film "Robot and Frank" is a sci-fi film, so the reality is slightly shifted into the future, and there are gadgets here that are even better than what we encounter at present. However, the premise of the film is clear. The old man has to deal with the fact that machines are increasingly entering our lives. No, don't worry, you don't have to expect something like an aging warrior fighting against killer machines, that may be in the movie "Terminator 5", but definitely don't expect an ordinary family film with a beautiful robot and a bunch of laughter.
