A harmincegynéhány éves Jesse rossz passzban van. Nem elég, hogy a magánélete kész csődtömeg, a munkája is egyre jobban fullasztja. Ekkor keresi meg az egykori egyetemi tanára, aki felkéri, hogy mondjon beszédet a nyugdíjbavonulása alkalmából rendezendő vacsorán. Jesse úgy érzi, itt a nagy lehetőség, hogy kitörjön a megszokott életéből. Amikor visszatér a régi iskolájába, megrohanják az emlékek. Később találkozik Zibbyvel, a másodéves hallgatóval. Ennek hatására úgy érzi, hogy kezd visszatérni az önbizalma, és optimistán tekint a jövőbe. (TV4)

For me, Josh Radnor will always be Ted from How I Met Your Mother. Anyway, I already watched one of his movies and I was satisfied. I’ve noticed that he references the lines he says in his movies a lot in HIMYM, which is nice. However, it’s worse when something bothers you in HIMYM and he squeezes it into the movies as well. And that’s what happened here. Josh plays a guy who falls in love with a young girl but cannot tell her he loves her as he thinks it would ruin her youth. When she tells him that she loves him, he tells her they can’t be together, and that’s pretty much how the whole movie goes. That’s when I remembered Ted and his relationship with Robin in HIMYM, where he acted exactly the same way and it really pissed people off. In this movie he went over the line and truly pissed me off with this behavior where he doesn’t know what he wants. Again.
