2005. június 28-án, a "Vörös Szárny" fedőnevű akció keretében a tengerészgyalogság négy kommandósát, titkos akcióba küldik Afganisztán Hindu Kush régiójába, hogy kiiktassák a hírhedt tálib Ahmad Shah parancsnokot. Az küldetés azonban balul sül el, amikor a tálibok rajtuk ütnek a hegyekben, elvágva a csapatot a segítségtől. A magára maradt csapat elszigetelve, ellenséggel körülvéve azzal szembesül, hogy csak magukra és egymásra számíthatnak, ha élve ki akarnak jutni az ellenség szorításából.
