Zombex is precisely the kind of film that contributes to the perception that the zombie genre is becoming or is generally regarded as something inferior, something that's been here, done that, and won't persist because it's exhausted. In my opinion, the genre isn't exhausted; it's just that creators aren't trying, and they're only focused on making films with zombies in them. Then it ends up with this suffering that not even the presence of very interesting names in the cast can save.
