Four ex classmates get together to celebrate the pregnancy of one of them. The venue chosen for the party is a country house located one hour away from the city. It has been a while since the four of them saw each other for the last time and one recently committed betrayal threatens to destroy their long and deep friendship. A pretty decently made slasher movie from Chile with hints of exploitation (but it’s pointless to mention that, nobody makes pure slashers anymore). Though it has plenty of brutality and blood, it was unable to pull me into the plot, or to interest me in any way. Baby Shower is horror without atmosphere, likeable characters, humour or originality, and I don’t watch films only because of the blood.
