A középkorú Fred az autójában él Dublinban. A férfi egykor szebb napokat látott, évekig Angliában dolgozott, de miután elveszítette az állását, hazatért. A lehetőségekhez képest próbál normális életet élni, ám sok jóra nem számíthat. Mindez megváltozik, amikor egy nap leparkol mellé a sárga kis autójával Cathal. Különös barátság szövődik a fiatal drogos és a magányos, idősebb férfi között. Cathal eltökélt szándéka, hogy segít Frednek egyenesbe hozni az életét. The Irish once again gave me a brutal thrashing full of reality and black humor. I often think that even if those people were at death’s door, they would come up with some catchphrase that would immediately ruin the atmosphere. Parked is a beautiful yet sad film. That happens when you watch a great realistic drama full of wonderful acting performances and unique characteristics of the given countries. Maybe that’s why I like watching European movies so much.

I figured this wasn't going to be a film that would interest me, but it's exactly the kind of enjoyable little film where it's all about the characters and their fates, whether good or bad, and it works very well. Colm Meaney shows us that he is a very capable actor and carries the plot through to the end, even if you wonder if he is actually the main character.
