Jožko lives with his family and his dog in a ramshackle house near a busy motorway in Slovakia. He is a recovering junkie who regularly picks up the doses of methadone that are helping him overcome his addiction. He scavenges in bins and sells the Slovak equivalent of the Big Issue. Jožko's father is addicted to gaming machines while his mother provides for the family by selling her body near the highway. Jaro Vojtek's film tells the story of a family that finds itself on the edge of society. Only Jožko reflects on where his life is going and makes an effort to change. Can he escape this vicious cycle and start a new and better life? (One World)
