Éjszaka van. Egy párizsi hídon könnyes szemű lány hajol a Szajna fölé, úgy tűnik, vízbe akarja fojtani bánatát (s magát). Ám egy hang megszólal a háta mögött, és a lány követi a férfit. Gabor, a késdobáló éppen partnert keres a műsorához, aki vállalná az eleven célpont szerepét. Adele-nek nincs vesztenivalója, elfogadja hát az ajánlatot. A két sorsüldözött együtt sikeresen boldogul, s az élet hirtelen szép lesz. Ám a váratlanul jött szerencse csak addig tart, amíg együtt maradnak. Éjszaka van. (Best Hollywood)

Without doubts, the dialogues in Girl on the Bridge are so well-developed that the movie captivates you with the very first words of Vanessa Paradis’s monologue about what has happened. Then boom, cut, and there is an amazing scene on the bridge, describing with every word and every emotion how life will unfold. The great Daniel Auteuil enters the scene and the whole black-and-white story unravels very nicely, but in all respects a bit predictably. That’s my only reservation about this movie. Otherwise I did not expect this movie would make me feel so good. But France was always good in that, especially that of old.
