Far away in the snowy Blue Mountain, live a people called Blue Elves. They live in secret away from people, and their task is to make the magic 'blue time': the time between night and day, when it's not completely dark, and not totally light. Princess Mountain Rose has never been out of the mountains safe walls, and the outside world seems big and dangerous. But one day she must conquer her fear, and leave the Blue Mountain to find medicine for his sick father. On the perilous journey, she becomes aware that not all elves are blue: The Red Elf, Dreng shows Mountain Rose to a humans farm, where the Red Elves live in the farmer's barn. Despite her good intentions, Mountain Roses journey puts elves of all hat colours and Blue Mountains secret in danger. Blue Mountain is an unforgettable adventure where blue elves and red elves must stand together to save both big and small in a race against time. A nice children's film about midgets who have their own rules, but there's one midget who wants to break them, always with good intentions. It's actually a nice fairy tale that draws a bit from other mythologies, but on the other hand, it's still very charming, with very few intense moments.
