angol The number of old kung-fu movies I’ve seen is about zero, so I’m not precisely the target audience of this fan homage, It was awfully boring. Otherwise, I’m rooting for this genre effort by Eli Roth, but I’m looking forward more to his horror productions (Clown, The Sacrament, The Last Exorcism II), as well as his upcoming directorial work (the 1970s cannibal horror The Green Inferno); we will meet there again in terms of genre. Unfortunately, I’m unable to appreciate The Man with the Iron Fists. ()

angol RZA seems to have fallen in love with the movie "Kill Bill," on which he worked as a musician. After all, that is also the area he understands the most. His collaboration with people like Method Men, Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, Masta Killa, and others in the formation known as the Wu-Tang Clan. As a rap group, they are specific and unique, and RZA himself has great qualities because his voice is truly unique, memorable, and very rough. However, this person has also developed an interest in movies. "The Man With the Iron Fists" is his independent project on which he collaborated as a director, screenwriter, musician, and actor. He played the lead role, although it seems that his character is in the background throughout the film. He was accompanied by other great actors - Russell Crowe, who for once does not play in the premier league, Lucy Liu, who reprised her role from "Kill Bill" with a similar scene, and others, mainly Chinese/Hong Kong actors who excel in martial arts and especially the wu-shu style, which was made famous on screen by the film "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" and has been used in many other movies. Unfortunately, in the film "The Man With the Iron Fists," the wu-shu does not look very good, and at times it is truly unbelievably terrible. The story is set in feudal China, although one of the characters is Crowe's British soldier. The setting is handled quite well, but it mainly focuses on interiors. They are beautiful, ornate, truly as if from a Chinese film. However, the story is not very interesting, but it is presented in the style of Chinese legends, so it ends up looking good. And the most important aspect is that the scenes look visually pleasing, cool, and modern. That is achieved. It is a nice illusion that works for this film. It is a good debut for me because RZA knew exactly what he wanted to film and he did it. More: http://www.filmovy-denik.cz/2013/01/divosi-10-years-divoka-stvoreni-lets.html ()
