The Painted Veil

This was indeed Greta’s 9th sound film. So are the eight before that not enough? (2009.02.13)

I actually liked the more modern version with Edward Norton and Naomi Watts a little bit more, especially because the ending was stronger. However, that doesn't change the fact that this dramatic romance still works after eighty years, and "The Painted Veil" shouldn't disappoint any film fan. (2014.05.16)
