Barbie – Tündérmese a divatról

If you mix Legally Blonde 1-3, The House of Eliott, A Perfect World, The Devil Wears Prada, and Fashion with Priyanka Chopra, you get Barbie A Fashion Fairytale. I've been worried about new Barbie films in the last two years because the Dickens adaptation came out at the end of 2008 and apparently the ceiling of how far one can go in choosing classics has been reached. After my much-loved ballets or Mark Twain, the story seemed too complicated, and for a change, right at the beginning of 2009, Barbie Presents: Thumbelina took away too much of the complexity. To some extent, the new level was balanced in Barbie and the Three Musketeers and Barbie in a Mermaid Tale in late 2009 and early 2010. At that time Barbie not only changed her appearance but also paved the way for a new interpretation with a good dose of self-reflection. This has now come to fruition and will probably continue in Barbie: A Fairy Secret in spring 2011. So what's it all about? Barbie is no longer just an "actress" in the role of a princess. Instead, she is an actress who is having a new adventure after being fired from the set of the new version of Princess Pea. Ken also appears for the first time as... Ken. I'll leave out his participation in the 1987 cartoon. And we're moving to Paris to compete to save Barbi's aunt's salon, beat her competition, help three fairies who add style, pizzazz, and glamor and, of course, boost the confidence of one young designer. So anyone who despaired that the "real" Barbie only featured in the frame narrative of some of the earlier films now has her available all the time - and it's not bad at all. Raquelle is also here for the first time. Maybe that's an awkward transition to where people often think B-movies already are - a pink world full of horses, villas, picnics, and Ken. A Barbie western and a Fiesta in the American Southwest? We will be serving Quesadillas, Guacamole, and Tacos. ;) O la lá! (2010.10.20)
