In the tradition of "The Reaping" and "The Village", "The Cursed" is a supernatural thriller that draws on the rich and frightening folklore of the American South. Sheriff Jimmy Muldoon (Costas Mandylor ("Saw III, IV, V, VI, CII") and younger brother, deputy Lloyd Muldoon (Louis Mandylor "My Big Fat Greek Wedding"), have a firm grasp of law and order until a handsome stranger, Denny White (Brad Thornton), comes to town. Animals are slaughtered...loved ones go missing. Only a blur is spotted at each location. The sheriff and Denny join forces to fight the killer, an evil demon manifested from the slave plantation days. "The Cursed" is a rather typical television movie, focusing more on dead animals and something ugly in the forest rather than on a story, which should be the main focus in this case. Unfortunately, it turned out that there is nothing to support it and the creators simply wanted something that would be interesting at first glance, but upon closer inspection, it is just poorly done work that is not even average.
