Descending Angel

Irina (Diane Lane) and Michael (Eric Roberts) want to get married - all they have to do is get her father's permission. Traveling to Grand Rapids, Michigan, Michael is introduced to Irina's father Florian (George C. Scott), leader of a close-knit Romanian community, who welcomes him with open arms until he begins to discover dark family secrets. Irina's father has been accused of collaborating with the Nazis in Romania, and worse, taking part in the brutal slaughter of 800 Jews in the Kayatsa massacre. Florian is devoted to his daughter, and will do anything to protect her from the truth. Can Michael take on Florian and his henchmen, exposing the truth?
