Malá pražská víla

I love this kind of sentimental stuff. Professionally done in every aspect (direction, cinematography), I liked the ambient soundtrack and music and especially the slightly dreamy mood that permeates the whole film. My only complaint would be with the script. It feels a bit inconsistent, including distracting cuts from a printer, which I could easily imagine this film without (Daddy occasionally hummed unintelligibly). I might even take the criticism that the story fails to evoke a single deeper emotion (apart from the girl's hysterical reaction), which is only slightly produced by sensual moments with dripping water (sometimes inventively photographed), glances through a tinted glass and a melancholy that drips from the whole film like water from the fingers of a "little Prague fairy". For myself, I can say that Jan Chramosta struck a chord with me and I wouldn't be averse to a feature-length film. (2010.03.01)
