angol Pilot: A very promising premise, but the execution is a little too weak and shallow, it doesn’t go very deep and the story moves forward at supersonic speed. I can imagine the events of the first episode could be told in five episodes, without it feeling like filler. Elizabeth and Joel, or rather, Juliet and Tom are good. I’ll probably keep on watching, but I hope they slow down a little… 7/10 ()

angol Season 1 - 60% - Attractive concept, a promising pilot episode, but after a few episodes, it becomes sobering and disappoints despite occasional quality jumps. Nothing is explicitly bad, but either I've seen it elsewhere (the soundtrack shamelessly plagiarizes Battlestar Galactica to the last note) or it leaves me surprisingly cold, as in the case of the characters' emotions. When most characters are going through personal dramas and I only care about two or three (specifically the charismatic trio of Jack-Anna-Erica), something is simply wrong. Not even the cheap look of the spaceship or the occasional forced attempt to stretch the story over the promised twelve episodes helps. So, even though I applaud the performances of my favorite TV actors (Morena Baccarin, Alan Tudyk, or the underutilized Nicholas Lea), I cannot praise it. A few hours after watching the final episode, the series is still in my head, but I have no attachment to it. Season 2 - 60% - The scripts try to come up with new ideas, but for me, they rarely work. Ironically, the continuity of the main characters is pleasing, especially in the case of the only constant likable character, Chad. On the other hand, the new elements like "Diana's hidden triumph" seem poorly executed and, as a result, quite dysfunctional. When I eventually get bored not only with Ryan's stereotypical storyline but also with Erica's constantly martyred loyal gaze, my rating drops significantly. Its rescue came literally at the last minute. It's hard to say if the creators seriously counted on a renewal for the third season, but if they at least partially considered the end of the second season as a complete conclusion, then hats off to them. With a bit of reading between the lines, the final montage could have been a perfect point. However, by that point, it cannot save the tired plot of most episodes. ()

angol An uninteresting, superficial take on an alien invasion that comes across as considerably sunny. A lot of things didn't make sense to me, unfortunately I didn't like any of the characters and barely finished the first season. I pretty much walked away completely bored after watching it, and I'm hoping that the next alien invasion I see will be more entertaining. ()

angol Pilot: Very promising. Despite a couple of illogicalities, the plot still has a lot to give and it was up to the screenwriters to seize the potential or not. The actors, headed by Elizabeth Mitchell, give fairly solid performances, and let’s hope it stays that way. We’ll see how things pan out... ()
