Tartalmak(1)

(Film+)

angol I wasn’t interested at all in this film, but someone recommended it to me recently and I gave it a chance; no regrets. It won me over, it touched me, it’s a beautiful, lovely and interestingly told story. And a fun fact: while watching it, I I thought about the film Stand by Me, the accurate portrayal of the relationships among the kids reminded me a lot of it. And surprise: it’s from the same director :-) ()

angol An audiobook with moving pictures. Even if you didn't know (like me, for example) that it was an adaptation of a novel, soon it becomes obvious. Here, the images are nothing more than a necessary addition. They are not used to tell the story; everything is said exclusively with words. Many words. It just feels like a book read out aloud. However, it must be acknowledged that it is an excellent reading of an (apparently) good book. ()

angol I see this as a beautiful unadulterated story of childhood love told from two different perspectives. I was moved by the nice music and the natural atmosphere. I'm just not thrilled with the ending. It was in the spirit of the whole film, it ended well, but it wanted something more. Otherwise, I really enjoyed the retro style and the cast (not just the main characters)! Cute, cute, adorable... 4 stars. ()

angol Growing up is not easy, and of course, it's even worse if we unilaterally fall in love as children. Yet a film based on such a motif is nothing great, although, in theory, the mere setting in the 1950s could produce a certain stiff appeal of moderation. ()

angol Flipped is a heartwarming telling of a real-life story, where Rob Reiner, unlike the vast majority of American productions focusing on adult life wisdom exchanges, focuses on elementary school. It has an unwavering charm and a touch of melancholic nostalgia, atypically spiced up with the 1960s, full of prejudices and clichés. It went by fast and was a lot of fun. ()

angol An hour and a half of good mood and the sheer joy of watching great young actors and their sunny, simple yet so real story. "You have to look at the whole landscape." ()

angol A highly original take on first love, which didn't get annoying like other more or less dumb teen comedies. The film has a lot going for it: it doesn’t take sides, it has a retro vibe, it is filmed in such a way that even I found it endearing and extremely enjoyable, it’s unpretentious and it’s poignant without the use of emotional blackmail. I either didn't notice the negatives or there weren’t any. Either way, the film was enjoyable and extremely relaxing. A special mention goes to the great work with light and color, which perfectly accentuated the tone of the whole film. ()

angol Although I haven’t read the novel and the movie is literally a voice-over narration of the story, I didn't mind it at all. Finally, after a long time, I got to see a romantic comedy which didn't make me cringe even once and I enjoyed its amazing atmosphere all the way through, feeling absolutely great. Some of the storylines kind of fizzle out while others are completely unnecessary. At times you can tell it was made on a very tight budget. However, those are just insignificant details. I believe I'll give this an even higher rating the next time I watch it. An incredibly uplifting movie. ()
