Eternally cool Robert Mitchum plays a world-weary private investigator hired by a wealthy industrialist's wife (Jaclyn Smith) to locate her missing husband. The woman seems anxious about her husband's disappearance but in reality knows more than she is letting on about his whereabouts - it was she who helped her lover murder him and then dispose of the body. But when it seems the missing man has returned from the dead to claim justice, the deceitful wife could very well become the next victim of her own double-crossing. (Kino Lorber)

Nightkill has its own pacing, it has its very good scenes, and then it has a finale that wants so badly to come across as something that's really clever, but doesn't really have enough to ground you by the end. There is a great final scene that I really watched, because it's beautifully done in terms of the mask. I didn't expect it to be this gritty.
