Tartalmak(1)

An ironical picture of the burgeois society set before WW I. In 1910 a military division arrives in a small Slovak town just in the time when the local ball is taking place. The ladies of the cream of this provincial society have to pay for their coquetting with the visiting army officers. (forgalmazó hivatalos szövege)

angol Stvorylka is one of the most interesting Slovak films of the 1950s. In the beginning, the idea was to make a short story film based on Janko Jesenský's book "Malomestské poviedky," in which Stvorylka was to be only the opening story, but in the end, it became a completely separate film. It's a cute idea. A ball is about to take place in the Slovak countryside and the local ladies and their daughters are preparing their toiletries and dance routines. But then the sheer bustle is disturbed by the arrival of a military detachment and the local husbands and other cavaliers are suddenly in danger. Stvorylka is in the Art Nouveau style. ()
