The very first shot of the piano grand made me realize that I had seen this film a long time ago, but I had totally forgotten the plot. I watched it again just to find out why I had no longer had any idea what the story was about. About halfway through the movie, it started to dawn on me where the problem lay. I found the inner struggle of an actress beyond her zenith with the frustration of unfulfilled lifetime dreams and ambitions so irritating that I quickly erased it all from my memory. But the final twist was quite fitting and I like Valeria Bruni Tedeschi quite a lot otherwise. (45%)
