Amanda, a kiváló tudós és társai anakondákon kísérleteznek a titkos európai kutatóbázison. A kutatást egy visszavonult milliárdos, Murdoch pénzeli. A kísérlet azonban balul üt ki, két kiéhezett kígyó elszabadul és mindenkit megtámadnak, akik keresztezik az útjukat. A helybéliek rettegnek tőlük. Murdoch felbéreli a Hammett nevű zsoldost, hogy kapja el az óriási csúszómászókat. Senki sem sejti, hogy az egyik kígyó hamarosan utódoknak ad életet. Amandának és Hammettnek félre kell tennie a nézeteltéréseiket, ha meg akarják állítani a kígyókat, mielőtt túl késő lenne. (AMC Hungary)

The only thing that I appreciate in this sequel is that the creators tried to make a horror film instead of some adventure bullshit (like The Hunt for the Blood Orchid). Unfortunately, they failed miserably and what we have is an unintentional comedy (though some scenes show some potential, but they couldn’t exploit it). David Hasselhoff performs his low standard, which raises the question of why all the jokes are only about Chuck Norris, he deserves some, too. The snake itself is awful, you’ll hardly see worse CGI. Sometimes I even felt that when it moved, the front part was going against the tail (it’s hard to express in writing, but maybe you’ll notice it). The film also has the misfortune of not even having an attractive setting. Unlike the previous ones, the story takes place in an ordinary temperate forest. Even despite the zero expectations, the third Anaconda was quite a disappointment.

The American-Romanian Anaconda 3: Offspring proves that even a potentially pretty cool B-movie is not easy to make. It is not helped by more well-known and relatively iconic names. When the moviemakers give up on wanting to entertain their audience and just slavishly churn out some basic and simple narrative, there is nothing meaningful that could actually come out of it.
